Surrender/Intake

LiFeline Cat Rescue and Network, Inc. is a fully volunteer run, no-kill organization. We do not have a facility which means that intake is dependent on available foster home space. Our waitlist is typically 2 to 4 weeks for kittens and longer for adults, but can be longer during peak kitten season. Priority is given to cats/kittens at risk of illness/injury or in unsafe/dangerous environments.

We accept owner surrenders on a case by case basis. We require that owner surrenders be up to date on vaccinations (FVRCP and Rabies), combo-tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and already spayed/neutered prior to intake. We require that owners provide proof of vet care prior to acceptance. Owner surrenders will also be subject to behavioral tests prior to acceptance.

Please note, for litters of kittens we require that ALL kittens in the litter be surrendered together. Finder may not keep or give away any kittens in the litter after contacting us. Finder may apply to adopt kittens once they are vetted by completing an adoption application. We do not guarantee that finders will be approved to adopt.
